On November 1, 2024, Bureau Veritas South Africa proudly participated in the Annual Ladles of Love Sarmiethon, a charity sandwich-making event held at the Old Edwardians Sports Club in Houghton, Johannesburg. This annual event brings together companies from across Johannesburg and Cape Town to compete in creating thousands of sandwiches for underprivileged children and communities in need. The Bureau Veritas team enjoyed a memorable day of camaraderie, unity, and community impact as they joined the Sarmiethon to help address food insecurity and support healthy nutrition for vulnerable childre
The atmosphere at this year’s Sarmiethon was lively and filled with purpose, as teams from various companies embraced the friendly competition with one collective goal: to make as many sandwiches as possible for those in need.
In total, the event produced an impressive 57,000 sandwiches, with Bureau Veritas contributing a substantial 7,839 sandwiches—each one a small but meaningful effort toward improving food security.
